BUILDING ON NOVEMBER 8-9, 2004

-- Market Analysis and Marketing for Real Estate Development,
held November 8-9, 2004 on the Coral Gables campus of the University of Miami,
is an intensive introduction to the subject and part of a series of executive
education courses offered by the Knight Program in Community Building at the
University of Miami School of Architecture. This course combines real estate
development with the School of Architecture’s expertise in New Urbanism.
Market Analysis
and Marketing for Real Estate Development
teaches the basic concepts and tools used to analyze and estimate the demand for
a variety of residential, retail, and office components of projects and how to
market real estate in walkable, mixed-use communities. This intensive seminar
reviews marketing in all stages of development, from site acquisition through
sales. Marketing of both projects and companies is explored in depth, as is how
to distinguish individual projects and create tailored marketing programs. The
faculty, composed of top educators and practitioners, provides expertise in the
market analysis and marketing of numerous projects across the country, with a
focus on New Urbanist developments.

The course fee is
$750 ($350 for public sector/nonprofit employees) if paid before October 15 and
$900 ($450 for public sector/nonprofit employees) after October 15. There is an
additional charge of $120 for those receiving FL AIA Continuing Education
