GLENN KELLOGG
Washington, DC

AFFILIATION:
Principal, UrbanAdvisors Ltd.

AREA OF EXPERTISE:
Urban economics

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE: In eight years of financial and urban planning, Glenn’s work has ranged from assisting in urban design for The Avenue of the Arts for the city of Philadelphia to designing potential transit centers for Bogota, Colombia to working for CapitalNet in London. In the private sphere he has managed small development projects from design to disposition and evaluated the feasibility of proposed development projects. Glenn’s private consulting includes managing contracts and providing a client point-of-contact, conducting stakeholder interviews, researching demographic and market trends, and synthesizing land use and implementation strategies. This experience brings a broad perspective to projects and exemplifies the bridge between economics and design, which UrbanAdvisors believes is central to finding solutions to urban development issues. Glenn serves as an advisory services panelist for the Urban Land Institute.

RESEARCH INTEREST: Glenn is examining the missing aspect of retail and commercial typologies for the Smart Code and the design and implementation elements required to make these commercial neighborhoods succeed.
